SERIES OF BOOK COVERS FOR STEPHEN KING'S NOVELS

The subject of my thesis in the graphic design was an obvious choice. I decided to pursue the idea of creating covers for my favorite literature. All because of the huge fascination with the world of horror and the work of Stephen King. Ever since I read my first book, I was completely captivated. King is not only a world-renowned author with an extensive literary legacy but primarily renowned for horror classics such as "The Shining," "Carrie," "It," and many others. Since the 1990s, these works have continued to remain timeless and obligatory pieces for every horror fan and enthusiast.
This project includes twenty cover proposals in A3 format. They were developed using Adobe Illustrator, preceded by hand-drawn sketches in Procreate. The entire design is based on three colors: black, red, and white. The symbolism of the color red primarily represents courage, love, and passion. Darker tones signify anger, power, and leadership.
The colors used intertwine: white innocence, darkness, and red - in my project, distinctly associated with blood, which is abundant in the novels.
